A sweet, short story about the friendship of a Bug and a Goose, with beautiful illustrations! I stumbled upon this small book on a sales day at a bookstore. I flipped through the first couple of pages... and I was instantly in love. I read it there on the spot, and so many times more afterwards.
The Wandering Goose tells the story of Bug and Goose who meet in a garden. They play together and talk all day long, about everything and everything. An incidental meeting flourishes their relationship into a friendship, and then something a bit more. Alas, when the spring was over, Goose had to fly away, and Bug is left to her own devices to deal with her loss of Goose...
As short, and seemingly innocent, as this story might be, one can only relate to this theme Bug and Goose present to us. The beauty of a friendship, love... and the imminent loss of a loved one and how one copes with it.
The Wandering Goose: It's a book that brings a smile to my face and I would recommend reading it!
